Failte Farm Fungi was founded in February 2022 with the goal of reducing the impact of pet waste on the environment. We work hand in hand with the community to clean up both public and private spaces.
We have employed a multitude of ways to use dog waste as compost, including using HOTBIN composters, sand traps, and mixing it with soil for potted (inedible) plants. The most important thing you can do is not let the dog waste touch the groundwater! It can infect the local watershed and cause outbreaks of diseases or release harmful substances into the ecosystem.
